Health Care Professionals Refresher Training

This 3 hour course covers the essential medical emergencies topics as required by the General Dental Association CPD guidance.

Description

This course covers:

  • Medical emergencies including choking, bleeding and acute medical conditions
  • CPR (Adult, Child, Infant) including use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Oxygen Therapy, including use of a bag-valve-mask
  • Administration of emergency medications

Prerequisites

A registered Health Care Professional (GDC, NMC, RCN, HCPC etc.)

The RLSS UK Qualifications Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (PFA) qualification covers a wide range of CPR and first aid skills, equipping the first aider to administer first aid to children and infants (babies). The two-day Paediatric First Aid qualification is Ofqual, CCEA and Qualification Wales accredited and valid for three years after the date of assessment. It is suitable for anyone who has contact or works with children and infants (babies).

The Anaphylaxis Management course teaches candidates how to recognise a casualty with anaphylaxis and provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty. This 4-hour Anaphylaxis Management training is available as a standalone course or can be added to one of our other first aid qualifications. After completing an RLSS UK Anaphylaxis Management course, candidates receive a Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis.
